Demaggio's New York Pizza - Corvallis

2 of our 3 orders made it to our table, 1 never made it. After 30 minutes we asked where it was and waited another 15 minutes. After a total of an hour waiting we requested a refund. The food that we did receive was very good.

It took over an hour to receive my order, despite only being a few miles away. I ordered the "white sauce" pasta with chicken, but found it to be bland and mushy. I also paid $6.50 for 5 mediocre wings. On the positive side, there was so much raw flour under the pizza that I could bake my own cake.

Yummy pizza. In particular we really enjoy the mushroom pizza having lived in two large pizza capital cities, I think DeMaggio's does a very fine job.

Totally understand the concept of demaggios. Still was less than desirable. Probably due to the heavy handed cook on the line that day as certain ingredients when used in excess can over power a dish. Seems to be a fun place for the more refined college crowd. And if its trivia night and your not playing, avoid this place. We sat in a corner, away from the folks playing, and still had the emcee heckle us about using our phones. We weren't playing and just planning our trip for the following day. Wont return.

I completely grasp the idea behind Demaggio's, but our experience was disappointing. It may have been because of the chef's heavy hand with certain ingredients, which ended up overpowering some dishes. It seems like a popular spot for a more sophisticated college crowd. However, if it's trivia night and you're not participating, I would suggest avoiding this place. We were seated in a corner away from the game, but still got heckled by the host for using our phones. We weren't even playing, just planning for the next day. Overall, we won't be coming back.
