We had dinner late in sufi and it was perfection! the whole experience felt super eccentric, but also relaxed, as we suddenly became members of a special club. the garnelenpasta is something that I will dream of for years and the service was impeccable. I can't come back!
About a beautiful environment for a restaurant as they will ever see. and eating was great. kellner was a little “pushy” oversold the inexpensive tasting menu and pushed a “house speciality” drink to my wife that she didn’t like at all, but...otherwise, it was excellent and the hopeful.
We dined at the adjacent Sufito's part of Sufis last night. They just started a Mariachi and gourmet taco experience on Fridays and Saturday evenings. It is amazing! First of all the food was to die for. It is a fixed style taco menu with...an incredible variety of gourmet tacos. From the traditional Al Pastor taco to a sashimi covered fried taco filled with rice. The octopus taco and New York steak tacos were big hits as well. You could pick just the ones you wanted or try them all. Second servings were also offered for any of your favorites. To end the meal was a delicious custard filled pastry taco with fruit. Yum!! The eight piece Mariachi band sounded amazing ! We really enjoyed the traditional Mariachi music during our dinner. To top it all of was the amazing staff. True professionals that provided top level service to make it an unforgettable night!! I really like the more formal, main Sufi's restaurant , which operate Sufito's, but for a slightly more casual dining experience with your toes in the sand Sufito's is the bomb! I will be back for sure.
We ate at the beach annex portion. The gourmet tacos were truly amazing! We had pork, sushi, octopus, steak, and a dessert taco. I had them all. I normally don't like octopus, but I wanted to try it. It was cooked perfectly!! Sushi taco was...really good. The steak taco was amazing also! The eight piece mariachi band, which is a new event on friday and saturday. They were MAGNIFICENT! If I ever get a chance to come back to Punta de Mita I'm definitely making reservation for this.
