New China Cafe - Corpus Christi

We ordered from the drive-through today. The chicken broccoli was exceptional, but the orange chicken was terrible. It seemed like they were using leftover chicken that had been sitting out. It was dry and tough. I'm sorry to say, but that's just how it was. We've always enjoyed eating here, but things will have to change. Food: 1/5.

This is the best place I've discovered for orange chicken—it's sweet with a perfect coating. Food: 5/5.

I’m giving my five stars solely for my waiter, who was definitely the only bright spot during my visit. Unfortunately, the service at the cash register was quite poor. I mean, it’s their job to ring up customers, which takes less than a minute, yet the cashier couldn't even manage a smile, let alone ask how my meal was. It’s no wonder we’re seeing more and more robots replacing human workers. The first cashier I encountered was decent, though. As for the food options, it was almost dinner time yet there was hardly anything available. There weren't even basic choices like different types of rice or noodles, and what little there was seemed either dried out or not fresh at all. This experience was a complete turnaround from the wonderful visit I had just a few months ago.

Was welcomed by friendly staff. Delicious food assortments. Waiter was friendly and always making sure everything was okay. And if anything was needed. I highly recommend New China Cafe. God bless all staff.Food: 5/5

Omgosh the Google picture of this place was so misleading! It looked upscale but it was just an average buffet. Food was not good, and the little cakes had flys crawling on them. Also, they have a bunch of coin operated candy/toy machines that all don't work. My kids were disappointed. Service was really nice, though.Food: 1/5
