Guajillo's On The Island

I had almost given up on finding authentic Mexican food in the Corpus area when we came here, but I was not disappointed. The restaurant is small and cozy and the food was amazing! I had the lamb soup and cannot recommend it enough. My husband had the chilaquiles, which were also really good. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable. We will definitely be back!

First time eating here. Definitely won’t be the last time. We had the chile rellenos lunch special with fideo. Delicious. Our server was very attentive and described the lunch special with such detail it made my husband order it immediately!! Usually we need to see photos of our food but he explained it with detail just hearing it sounded so good.

Amazing food and excellent service!!! A few updates could be made to enhance the atmosphere of the restaurant but we liked how cozy it felt. Also, it would be great if the kid’s menu was printed on the main menu, although our waiter did promptly communicate the kid’s options. We would definitely come back regularly if we were local!

Food is absolutely delicious. You can taste the food is fresh and made with Mexican love. They take pride in their food and service. Unfortunately, the restaurant is small so it full fast. They were unable to serve anything other than beer and wine.

The very best service is offered at this charming casual locally owned Interior Mexican Food restaurant! The owners greeted us warmly and gave great descriptions of food items we were ordering. I ordered the Chicken Mole’ and it was by far the best traditional Mole sauce I’ve ever had! So delicious!!!! The chicken was of high quality. They offer almost all Gluten Free items except 2. We loved the fresh, just cooked tortilla chips and salsa. My husband enjoyed a large bowl of delicious chicken tortilla soup. We left full, and very happy! It’s a must to try!The atmosphere is quaint and casual. It’s a small restaurant. Call ahead if you are bringing 6 or more people.
