Tavern - Coronado

Eating was really good, great portions and incredible craft cocktails.

Dinner in tavern is good - the menu includes all basic, the drinks are good, and eating is very well prepared. only complained were the steamed mushles that were a quite small amount (some a dozen mushles) but the broth was so delicious! it is an appetizer, I know, but it might have been 1.5 times the size. the pork chop was good, like the chicken and a burger. service was very good.

It was crowded and disorganized, especially the hostess. The waitress worked hard and stayed cheerful. The wrong order was brought to our table by a second waitress. Our food was slow to come, average in quality, and one plate was shorted on fries that were also limp and cold. Coronado was crowded; we understand post-holiday crowds. I’m not sure Tavern’s management did.

Clearly it was a very busy night so I get that and give them a bit of a pass. But, the tables outside where we were supposed to sit were a total mess (customers before us really went for it) and it took them a long time to clean them off. Then it took quite a while to take our order and even longer to get the food (45 min 1 hour). Would consider trying them again on a quieter night.
