Gelato Paradiso - Coronado

Okay, the selections in the shop are fabulous. Understood. But their cakes are a must if you want to impress your guests. I bought the extra large square cake (12 x 12 ), and it was absolutely fantastic!!! The design was breathtaking and the taste was even better.

Outstanding Gelato and great staff! Went on Thursday and David was very patient and helpful. I had Amaretto and red velvet. Returned on Monday and Jake gave us great recommendations. I had pistachios, Amaretto, Blackberry chocolate and espresso. My parents and I were introduced by Howie and Lois Stern, who own the Coronado Food Tour. I hope I'll be back soon!

I tried several dishes, and they were all excellent, but I especially loved the strawberries—they were absolutely delicious!

We arrived on a Sunday at noon, so there was absolutely no parking along Orange and there was traffic. We found a place over the street near Vons. This place has so many flavors I didn't know what to get. Too bad no more samples due to COVID so I just went with my top go-to taste. Coffee, mint, pistachio and Stracciatella in a small cup. I needed a cover for the car ride. She has stacked the small cup in the large cup size and then hit on a lid. She also offered an ice bag to keep it cool. Thank you. Ate it when I came home and it is so soft and creamy. Remembered Gelato in Italy on every street corner! Coffee could be more clear, but the other three flavors were right.
