First time at Il Barone. The service was excellent and the food was amazing. Our server was very helpful in suggesting wine selections, as well as offering various menu items and specials. We ordered the menu specials and they were incredible. Overall, an outstanding, hospitable dining experience with great service and awesome food. We will definitely be returning soon.

This was our first, but not last, time. The service was great, our server was knowledgeable and attentive. We shared the pear and Gorgonzola salad- the dressing was homemade and very tasty. My husband had the Tagliolini Al Limone- a lemon flavored pasta with mussels, clams, shrimp, tomatoes, fish in a white wine and garlic sauce- very flavorful. I had the squid ink spaghetti with shrimp and calamari which was also delicious. We shared the classic tiramisu for dessert- they also have one made with lemon cello that sounded good... next time we'll try that.

Frankie (our waiter) provided exceptional service—attentive, intuitive and friendly. The meal was delicious—fresh slice pears with burrata, Sicilian Meatloaf with potatoes and broccoli and ended with the worlds best creme brulee.

As at their previous locations, the food at Il Barone is excellent, authentic and generous in its portions. Prices are quite fair for what is served. The service is prompt and friendly. However, the new location in Newport Beach off PCH is an entirely different vibe than before. The previous locations had an elegant vibe, while the current location is frenetic, crowded and extremely loud. It is much more casual, which ought to be charming, but only comes across as more chaotic. I might consider eating there again on a rainy Tuesday in February, when there is likely to be parking available and less frenzy inside.

Il Barone is the best Sicilian food in Southern California by far! The ambiance! The food! The staff! Definitely coming again! This is my place, I'm going to try everything on the menu!
