Contribuiți la feedbackSeems to be a newer place with a rooftop seating (no sunset view). The menu isn’t big and offers four curries (one is a soup), three fried rice, and five stir-fried dishes. Almost every dish is made with meat, fish or egg but we could easily change our fried rice to a vegan version with tofu instead of chicken. I’m pretty sure they are able to make vegan curries too. Cool thing are the portions of the fried rice. They are for two to three people and therefore huge. The price is around 340 Peso which is 170 per person and therefore very interesting if you’re traveling on a budget as we do. It was tasty, and the staff friendly.
Tasty food but a bit concerned of whether it was vegan or not. Asked what was vegan and was advised initially that the pad Thai was but after ordering and waiting told it wasn’t but it was ‘fine’ because there was only a small amount of fish sauce used ! . Thankfully they told me! Switched with my meat eating husband and had the Penang Tofu curry instead which was really creamy missing a few veggies! . Spring rolls were very tasty great crunch!
Have the green curry roasted rice without meat, which was told me was vegan. the part was huge, I shared him with my friend and we were both full of it. dish was just delicious. I wish it had tofu but a solid option in koron for Veg*ns!
If Om’s Thai can be made vegan—which I told it could be by the server before ordering—, then it is one of the best options in Coron town for the portion size, flavor, and live music. However, if they were sharing misinformation, then I’ll have to rethink this whole review.
I went there yesterday and asked about vegan options. The owner told me they put fish sauce in everything and can't offer any vegan dish.
