What a hidden gem this place is! Tucked away behind the row of shops near the Spa grocery store, you’ll find it at the end of a newly paved drive leading to Valley Caravan Park. We’ve visited this establishment every year, and we’ve always received a warm welcome from the owner. They offer great beer and an excellent selection of Merlot wine. The chili cheese chips we all ordered were among the best meals we’ve had all week—and only £9.00! You’d likely pay around £16 for the same elsewhere. The menu has a nice variety, including plenty of vegan and vegetarian options, which makes me wonder if the owner is vegetarian herself. It’s a fantastic place overall, with friendly and chatty staff. I’d definitely recommend checking it out early in your holiday!

I've dined here a few times and enjoyed both the food and drinks. The fish and chips were reasonably priced and delicious, while the chicken Caesar salad was also quite good. The rosé wine was a great value as well. The staff were friendly and provided excellent service. We will definitely come back!

I just had a fantastic evening at this restaurant! I enjoyed a delicious steak accompanied by Canarian potatoes and a fresh salad, all for just £18 thanks to the Tuesday special. For dessert, I treated myself to a large chocolate sundae, complete with layers of ice cream, chocolate sauce, and plenty of fresh chocolate brownie. The chef was wonderful—very friendly and even offered me a taste of tomorrow's lunch. The atmosphere was relaxing, with nice music playing in the background. I also tried their Padstow Pale Ale, which came highly recommended by the bartender. This morning, I indulged in a hearty double breakfast served with all the trimmings, paired with a lovely cappuccino. Overall, I was very pleased with the service and the food. Made an extra effort to come here before 12 so we could have breakfast but when we went to order we were told they were not doing food. I informed the staff that they have a sign at the door saying they serve breakfast until 12 but was informed by an incredibly rude member of staff that that wasn't the case today. Service was absolutely appalling, no apology given. I would avoid as like me you could end up being left being very disappointed after being treated like that.

We were visiting the Valley caravan park at the beginning of July 2018 for a family wedding and stayed in one of their excellent apartments above the clubhouse. These are spacious clean and well equipped with a delightfully large balcony looking over the valley. We ate in the bar on two occasions and were very impressed. The staff members were all friendly, competent and efficient and whilst the menu is limited it would seem appropriate for the venue. We chose Fish and Chips which were so good that we went back and had the same again a few nights later. The fish was local, the chips large and perfectly cooked and the batter was crisp and delightful. I think this rates as one of the top fish and chips we have enjoyed anywhere in the world and that’s saying something as we travel a lot. The bar is well stocked with beer and a selection of average but acceptable wines. The bar staff were welcoming and knew how to pour a pint of Guinness – quite and art and often failed. The bar area is large with two separate areas plus a large deck outside with table benches which made for a comfortable option to enjoy an evening drink. Highly recommended.
