In the beautiful countryside near the lovely village of Altarnun, you will find this fantastic pub. The dishes are of high quality and are beautifully presented with delicious flavor combinations. The lunchtime menu offers three courses for £30, which is a great value in today's market. The staff, who are young and enthusiastic, are eager to please. Cornwall boasts many top-notch dining options, and this pub is definitely one of the best.

I returned to this pub for Sunday lunch and it did not disappoint. The food was fantastic and the dessert was exceptional. I recommend booking in advance as it gets busy on Sundays. There is ample parking across the street and outdoor seating available at the back.

Cosy atmosphere, great food, lovely staff. Well, that pretty much sums it up. We discovered this place whilst out on a bike ride last Sunday and had some great food. Tried it again last night, we weren’t disappointed. Smoked mackerel pate and mushroom on toast...starters. Both delicious. Rib eye steak cooked to perfection. Ham, egg and chips for me….. too good. Sticky toffee pud dessert- spot on. Keep up the good work!

Busy with locals and visitors. Restaurant staff hit and miss. Our waitress on presenting the bill, asked if we wanted to leave a tip at the table rather than allow us to use the card machine to discreetly add it. She made error even then...on maths. This is a regular venue for us, we will return but young staff need etiquette training. The food was very good as usual.

My group of 6 had a great experience at this restaurant. We received excellent service from the moment we walked in the door. The food was beautifully presented and the service was top-notch. We will definitely be returning in the future.
