The Anvil - Cornwall,Isles of Scilly

During our vacation in The Anvil, we dined at this restaurant for several nights and had excellent meals with really friendly service every time! The menu may not be extensive, but the dishes are exceptionally well-made with high-quality ingredients. We tried the special Cornish steaks, which were always perfectly cooked and served with crispy chips and a fresh salad. The chef clearly takes pride in their work. The local desserts were generously portioned and delicious, with fresh vegetables on the side. The chili was slowly cooked and had a tasty smoky flavor. The restaurant is child-friendly with a beautiful menu for kids as well. The desserts looked great, although we were too full to try them every night. My son said his ice cream was really good. I also want to mention the helpful and friendly staff, with a special shout-out to Alex who made sure my son got his garlic bread and remembered his order of chicken goujons. If you're in Cubert or nearby, you won't be disappointed dining here!

Very good meal for the family of four during the kovid. square lacked a little atmosphere, but that was due to the entire social distancing. very attentive service and all four of us enjoyed our meal. Top brands for the cake!

We had a fantastic meal at the anvil tonight. The food was superb and the service was class. Social distancing was observed and we felt very comfortable with the measures that had been put in place. Would definitely recommend.

We had a really fab meal in The Anvil last night. The pub is dog friendly throughout which was really helpful. The food was really good and the portions were massive. Even the scoops of amazing ice cream! Raspberry pavlova was my personal favourite. Great...service, really nice ambience, big car park opposite, popular with the locals. stars :

Amazing food, best meal we had in a long time, lovely pub, friendly staff and planning to go again another night even if just for the malteser cheesecake.. yum!!
