Port And Starboard

Possibly the worst takeaway fish I have ever had. See attached picture of my £8 cod. No, it wasn’t a child’s portion. Used to be a top fish and chip restaurant. Certainly declined in the last few years. Today the fish was inedible. Small, overcooked and dry. Keeping giving the benefit of the doubt. We can all have off days. We won’t be doing it again. Will not be returning in the future.

Spontaneous visit based on what fish and chip takeaways were in the area we were staying and on reviews. Absolutely fantastic fish and chips. Great taste, great quality, generous and very fresh. Well done on your great standards. Very very impressed customer!

Used to live in the area 3 years ago and it used to be the best chipshop around ! Visited it this week and was really disappointed how down hill it had gone ! Couldn't belive it cost £16.50 for a portion of fish and chips so for 2 of us having fish and chips and a drink each it came to just under £40 !! Tip of the day take the food away dont eat in!!

Was recommended port and starboard for fish and chips lively clean restaurant,friendly staff and the fish and chips were absolutely top notch delicious

Went there yesterday, 15/09/2023. The worst Fish Chips ever. The fish had no taste, the batter on the fish was soggy, the price I was charged was not as per the set menu. The staff were inatentive. There was no signage to advise you how to oreder or where to sit. The meal for 2 was chosen from the set menu at £17.50 per meal which was for Fish Chips plus tea for 2. What I had to pay was some £4 more. When I asked why I had to pay more than the £17.50 per meal, as per the set menu, I was told I hadn't ordered from the set menu. I told tem I had ordered from the set menu but, I was told the order they had was from the ordinary menu. I didn't give them the order, the meals were ordered by me to a menber of their useless staff. Why would I order food which was at a higher price but, they were adamant and I did not to cause a fuss, I paid the amount they said I owed for the 2 meals. Horrible food, horrible disrepectful staff, horrible treatment. Avoid at all costs if to enjoy tasty, proper food. This palce, Port Starboard, Indian Queens, is a complete disgrace and a stain on the previous wonderful, caring owners. I will never go there again.
