All I can say is thank god for her recommendation, I didn’t even realise this marvellous place existed, hidden down Pike Street. Everyone was so welcoming, they moved us from the original table as there was a big party coming in and they said “it might get a bit noisy for you”. For some reason we forgot to order starters but we didn’t need them after the poppadoms and pickles, and in some respects I’m kind of glad we forgot! The mains we ordered alongside some veggie sides were absolutely gorgeous and generous, all three of us struggled to finish. I had the chicken dopiaza which was gorgeous, sweet and fragrant. My parents had chicken bhuna and chicken jalfrezi, along with mushroom rice and egg fried rice, garlic and plain naan. It’s currently 8.35pm and I’m as full and happy as I’ve ever been. What a diamond this restaurant is and the service was timely and impeccable. If I could give more than five stars, I would.
Visited whilst on holiday in the area, 2 adults and 2 children. We had booked a table but found we were the only diners there that evening, was on a Tuesday. Good choice on menu. Staff were attentive and friendly. Very large portions. Food was nice, although the chicken tikka masala was very coconuty, more like a passanda. Entrance was quite scruffy but the restaurant was decorated nicely. Toilets were clean.
Coming back from Newquay to Looe after a day out whilst on holiday from Leeds. Called in for a takeaway service. Firstly the staff were very helpful and friendly. We got 3 main course's and all were lovely and plenty full. All sundries were above average and our starter the onion bhaji were the best we've had in long time. Would highly recommend. Will be back on our next holiday to Looe.
Absolutely diabolical service from start to finish. Waitresses don’t know whether they’re coming or going. AVOID
Visiting the area for a few days and decided to book for dinner based on previous reviews. An extensive menu with a mix of traditional Indian dishes and a few Nepalese options which we had not seen before but were keen to try. The food was served hot and fresh in good portions and extremely tasty. Service was helpful and friendly and we found out they have relatives with a Nepalese restaurant close to us which we will check out (Gurkha Lounge) Meanwhile this was very enjoyable and we will make a point of returning when next in the area
