Dolly's Tea Room Wine

The restaurant, now known as Morgaw, had a very rude female staff member who was disrespectful to us and other customers. We had just bought drinks but decided to finish quickly and leave. There are many other great dining options in Falmouth, and this is no longer one of them.

We stopped by for a scone and tea. The place was nice, although the room was a bit plain. We were expecting a bit more in terms of decor. The scones were homemade and served warm.

We discovered Dolly's by chance while walking above a shop and it was not easily visible, but we were lucky to find it. Seeing people sitting in the windows, we decided to give it a try. We were pleasantly surprised and ended up spending a nice amount of time there enjoying cocktails, a pint, and good music. We would definitely recommend it and are excited to return again soon.

Visited after searching for cream tea’s in Falmouth and Dolly’s came up with some good reviews. Everyone has a different opinion but we found the initial feeling was pleasant and the staff were polite. We ordered two cream teas, one fruit and one traditional and that’s when it went downhill. The traditional scone had coconut/cinnamon in it which was very overpowering and not traditional and the fruit scone tasted greasy, all in all very poor.

Classically fabulous tea room in the heart of Falmouth with exceptional scones (served fresh) and possibly the largest variety of speciality teas in Cornwall. Relish the fruity scones with traditional clotted cream and jam. Most important, enjoy the music of the 70s and 80s. Simply supercalifragilisticespialidocious!!!
