Cavendish Coffee House

Whenever we stay in falmouth, we always have breakfast here. the sausages in the breakfast boap are delicious and the part of the smoked salmon with the eggs is very generous. all served by friendly staff. one day we have to try the cake selection. they look delicious. by the way, the played music is directly on our road!

Just had an Cornish Tea and coffee. The atmosphere in this place is bizarre. 80s decor combined with b/w photos on wall of rock/folk legends, but pasted over with random stickers? Looked like they'd just gotten some sticker books and ruined what could've been passable...decor. Who puts up a picture of Jonie Mitchell with Spider Man dangling from the top? And why are there Red Hot Chili Peppers and flower stickers on an Elvis photo? The same surfer photo is put up side to side with random stickers? The 80s chairs/booths are not my style, but the wall art was just additionally off-putting in a can I trust this place to have standards for good ingredients if this represents their decision-making A bit dramatic sure, but once you step in you worry you've made a mistake... Our drinks and scones were good. Not great, not bad. Clotted cream good, jam solid, but had better (more flavourful) in Falmouth. Coffee/tea good. Scones fresh, though kind of lacking integrity? Couldn't really spread the cream or jam as they just sort of fell apart. Good flavour though! That said... over £1 more expensive for same Cornish tea than we'd had elsewhere, which set our standard in town. A bit overpriced, awful decor, good tea/coffee, decent scones. Basically: totally average. You could do worse, but you could do better. Maybe the breakfasts are their bread and butter?

We visited Cavendish to see if they where able to help us out with a student start up idea. After being turned away from many other Cafe's Cavendish saved the day! Ian the owner and Jade where absolutely brilliant and so friendly. They are really...focused on bringing the local community together and their coffee is absolutely amazing!. If you are visiting Falmouth or live here I would recommend visiting Cavendish.

Cavendish are really supportive of local projects, especially students. They helped our final term project by giving us a space to sell our product. Management is lovely and the owner was full of business insight and was kind to mentor us for the afternoon we...were there. It's fantastic that a local business is so focussed on helping the local community. Even better, they make great cake and chai lattes!

The cafe itself is lovely and filled with character, and the staff to match! Food and drink are fantastic and are massively student-friendly, which is really appreciated on Falmouth high street. The owner Ian is an incredible and caring gentleman! They even hosted our start-up...business for the afternoon as a part of one of our modules, really couldn't ask for anything more from these guys!
