Shivas Chicken Restaurant - Cornwall

Did not present well needs updating and cleaning had chicken soup lots of fat pieces in it had chicken breast very dry chicken would not go back again

We received a coupon for a BOGO quarter chicken dinner and figured this was a cheap way to try a new to us restaurant. The chicken samosas were tasty and nicely spiced. We enjoyed our entrée but, unfortunately, my wife said later that something had disagreed with her but she did not know what.

My wife and I visited Shivas on a Tuesday evening and were initially unsure about the empty restaurant. However, we were pleasantly surprised by the excellent chicken (crispy skin and juicy meat), french fries, warm bun, and cole slaw. My wife enjoyed the sauce, while I found it to be bland. The service was friendly and efficient, and the restaurant was spacious with plenty of room between tables. We plan to return as we preferred the chicken and fries at Shivas over other similar restaurants like St Hubert and Scores.

I recently dined at Shivas for the first time and I will definitely be returning. The food was delightful with a wide variety of choices, the atmosphere was lovely, and the service was excellent and very friendly.

My husband and I decided to take out from Shivas last night. He ordered ribs and chicken. It came with coleslaw, a nice crusty bun, gravy, sauce for the chicken and mashed potatoes. it was 16$. He enjoyed it and had the leftovers for lunch today. I enjoyed the butter chicken with rice which was about 15$. I also had left overs. the waitresses were very friendly and chatted with me while I waited for about 10 minutes. the restaurant only had a few patrons at the time. She explained that although they opened in July but they were waiting for their liquor licence before they started advertising. They finally got it. She also told me that they have wing night in the attached pub on Wednesdays. I think we might check that out. I would definitely eat there again. I prefer it over St. Huberts and Scores.
