Contribuiți la feedbackAttached to a value for money 3* hotel close to the Metro and to Barcelona 's airport, Nh was convenient after a hot city tour. The ambiance is that of a cafe with few embellishments. The staff were pleasantly attentive. The pork fillet with vegetables was a bit meagre in portion and the protein was grey and seriously over cooked. If a sauce had been added perhaps this could have been overlooked, but unfortunately there was not a drop of it in evidence. The beef hamburgers buns were good quality and lightly toasted. Salad was appreciated. But the meat patty was again overcooked with no sign of caramelisation nor pink hues. It was like they had been boiled on a grill that was too cool, and left for too long. Well appreciated was the free cup of coffee and the 'chupitos '. Wine was a decent value. Tonic with local gin was somewhat over priced. We will return to the hotel and to the convenience of the restaurant which lies in a bit of a culinary desert neighbourhood. But next time instructions will be given not to overcook the meat.
If you arrive here on a Sunday night, be warned there is nowhere inside the hotel to eat, and few options nearby, especially if you are gluten free. The walls do not seem to have any sound proofing, so you will hear doors slamming as folk get up early for flights (it’s not that far from the airport). My room was super warm, and the aircon broken. I eventually prised one of the two windows open to get some air into the room and was able to sleep. The redeeming features of the hotel were a great breakfast buffet and free wifi. Breakfast included many gluten free options such as cereal, bread, little cakes, plenty of fresh fruit, cheese, meat.
We were not sleeping there but just went for lunch during a business meeting. Place was very noce, lot of light, view on the pool. International dishes (italiano courses on the day se were there), but traditional spanish and locale doishes, top. Waiter was well available to explain the dishes. Very good good and not top big plates, perfect for a business lunch
This hotel is well appointed and is near the transport hub at Cornella Centre with metro , tram rail , and buses. It is served by bus route L77 from Barcelona El Prat airport. around 30 mins). The public transport is so good and reasonably priced in Barcelona that it is well worth staying here and going into town for sightseeing , eating etc.
Small restaurant on ground floor of NH hotel in Cornella. We used it mainly for breakfasts but it's open for non residents as well. Probably not the first choice for eating out, but possibly something different for connoisseurs. Restricted view mainly over the hotels outside pool. Highlight of our visit was having breakfast with Valencia CF second team they were playing that day in Cornella.
