Spice Of India - Cork

We go back to this family run restaurant time and time again. We have never been disappointed. There were five in the group last night and each person had something different and they were all delicious. You get plenty of food, however we cleared our plates. This restaurant provides good value for money. Service always quick and pleasant. Would strongly recommend this restaurant for either sit in or takeaway.

We ordered a delivery at around 6pm. At 8pm nothing had arrived so we rang and were told our food was out for delivery. 30 minutes later nothing had arrived. We rang again and were told it was only 10 minutes away. When the food didn’t arrive again, we rang and said we’d go up and collect the order. On arrival, nobody seemed to know what was happening. We waited about 5 minutes for a manager to come as there was none onsite. The manager then eventually told me they had no order taken for us as they had got too busy so they shut off their systems. I got on to Deliveroo to request a refund and was told the restaurant would have to process the refund as they use their own delivery drivers. I rang the restaurant and they are saying Deliveroo should be refunding me and not them. Deliveroo have now opened up a ticket to investigate and I’ve been told that they need to give them 48 hours to respond to the ticket. Throughout it all, I found the restaurant manager very difficult to deal with and he constantly spoke over me without hearing what the problem was. Had they just taken my details properly when I rang the first time they would have been aware there was no order for us instead of fobbing us off saying it was out for delivery. Will not be returning.

Probably the worst food ordering experience I 've had. Took two hours of following up with them and still no food. They kept making excuses about the restaurant being in a local area far away and that they 're busy. They were absolutely horrible at their service, even two hours later weren 't willing to cancel the order. Half an hour past that call they still did not deliver the order. Safe to say they 're completely unreliable and the worst option to get food.

Soooo tasty, really fresh good quality food for whole family all dishes were delicious. Have tried many Indian restaurants and this is one of the best

Absolutely delicious! Best Indian in Cork. Got the Tandoori Special and it was outstanding so much flavour! The pilau rice was amazing too. My girlfriend got the butter chicken which was also really tasty. Huge portions too!! As well as that, the staff are very accommodating and friendly and the delivery was with us much quicker than we expected. Can’t recommend enough!
