The staff here were really friendly and very attentive throughout the meal. I had stir fried duck with a spicy plum sauce and ordered egg fried rice. It was delicious and was a very generously sized portion. I then shared the brownie with my friend which tasted amazing, the best brownie I have ever eaten. I will 100% come back here again.

Delicious food, lovely staff, actually I need to find better superlatives. Truly amazing food, really pleasant, attentive, interested staff. I missed talking to the boss tonight, but he is always happy to have your feedback. As an excellent home cook, I often struggle to find places that provide food at least as good as I cook or preferably better, Mak always excels and it makes me really happy to eat there. Keep up the good work, in my opinion one of the best restaurants in Ireland (at least that I have been to).

Went to Mak D6 again last night. First time since lockdown ended. Food was incredible, starters to die for, everything was so tasty, you leave full and happy. The staff also deserve a mention, front of house staff were really friendly, knowledgable, attentive and, most importantly, knew the balance of helpfulness and keeping their distance. We will be back. Thanks for a great night.

As a parent of a 12 year old coeliac daughter it can be pretty tricky finding good places to eat with a good variety on the menu. This place though is great a separate coeliac menu with lots of options we ended up all ordering off that menu and the food was so tasty. The staff were very helpful and reassuring. The atmosphere was good too. My daughter had a fantastic time would highly recommend.

I would give a 5-star review if it weren't for a few issues. The food at this restaurant was fantastic, especially the sweet and sour chicken and chicken wings which I highly recommend. The service was quick in bringing out our food. However, we were seated at a half-circle table near the entrance and requested to move to another table for more privacy, but no one came back to confirm if we could switch. The service was okay overall, with no check back on our food and a long wait for our mains to be cleared (approximately 15 minutes). Sitting by the entrance next to the door in a secluded circle booth felt uncomfortable, as it seemed like we were on display while people waited to be seated. The constant door opening caused our food to go cold. The dim lighting and people standing over us made it difficult to see our food. The waiter offered us some money off the bill, and the manager even offered us some wine, which we declined as we don't drink (it turned out to be 0% beer and water on the receipt). However, no money was taken off the bill, and when I paid in cash, the manager didn't give me any change and put it in the tip jar without asking. I was disappointed and couldn't get their attention to get my change back. Even though it was only a few euros, around €4, the principle of not returning the change was frustrating after voicing our concerns. The restaurant had a good coeliac menu with great options, but the overall dining experience was lacking.
