Pizzeria Napul'e - Corigliano calabro

Il ristorante è pulito ed elegante, offre cibo ottimo e un servizio veloce...se volete assaporare la pizza napoletana in Calabria, lo consiglio.

Don’t expect too much from this place. Location is as it is, the restaurant itself is quite large, i.e. it has more tables inside than outside. The latter have a vista on the parking space and street. The main waiter apparently liked to hear himself talk, and seemed quite convinced of himself, placing lame jokes from his repertoire every now and then instead of providing fast service. The starters (e.g. mini-arancini siciliani) were quite good, but from there it went downhill. The waiting time becomes even more unacceptable if the main waiter strives to wow the female clients instead of getting the orders taken to the kitchen asap. The fish of the day was supposed to be some various seafood and a lobster: the latter came right from the freezer and was scarce and mediocre, the first did not even arrive. We were disappointed in general so did not even insist to have it after the lamentable portion of lobster. Usually I do provide constructive feedback to waiters when asked, but this time I just responded the lobster was “okay” when the waiter prompted us. He then dared to ask whether I was joking. I let him drop the subject. It goes without saying that I will not go near that place anytime again.

Highly recommended from friends, I was expecting better quality of restaurant so we decided to book for dinner. I was in the mood for a good bottle of bourgogne or any pinot noir but the wine selection didn’t offered any so under the suggestions of the waiter I ordered a white wine. Very basic food nothing special, we ordered some starters and grilled fish, fried fish ect. you can get the same at a better ambiance and better service almost in every Lido at Schiavonea. I was very very frustrated all night it took for ever to receive la focaccia I ordered instead of bread, I received the grilled vegetables to accompany my main plate long after I terminate, everything was very confusing no particular order in receiving the plates. We decided not to order a second bottle of wine and leave. I will definitely not go back.

We didn't book for dinner but owner and waiters they found a good place for us, they were so kind. Food is good and pizza was delicious...we suggest!
