Powder House - Cordova

The menu was undergoing some changes when we were here which was a bit confusing, my husband and I were handed different menus with different options on them. The shrimp basket was good but they don't have a shrimp and fries basket option so we had to get fries separately, an extra $12 for a side of fries. The sweet potato waffle fries are amazing, super crispy and delicious. The regular french fries were just ok, they weren't very crispy. My husband enjoyed the bacon cheeseburger as well.

The staff here is incredibly friendly. However, it's important for visitors to know that restaurants in Cordova tend to have prices that are significantly higher than what most non-Alaskans are accustomed to. This isn't a fault of the individual restaurants; rather, it's due to the fact that there are very few locally available supplies. Service: Dine-in, Meal type: Lunch.

I absolutely love this restaurant! The food is consistently delicious, and I enjoy playing pull tabs while I wait for my order. For takeout dinner, it typically costs over $100 per person, but it’s worth every penny. I rate the food, service, and atmosphere all at 5 stars!
