Abbays - Cordova

I visited Abbay's for the first time about a month ago and had the fried catfish, which was fantastic. I was really looking forward to going back for more. Today, I returned for a second visit around 4:00 p.m. and ordered the fried catfish again, along with some vegetables (Order 14405). I can only give it a 2-star rating because the vegetables were good. Unfortunately, the fish seemed to have been cooked many hours earlier and left under a heat lamp, as it felt dry and lacked the fresh taste I expected. If there was any fish underneath the layers of crust, it was not evident. I'm very disappointed that I drove 15 minutes and spent money on a dish of such poor quality. After my first visit, I had recommended Abbay's to others, but now I have to take that recommendation back.

The sides are always good, but the ENTREES are ALWAYS undercooked or overcooked. I stopped going here for like 6 months..Decided to go back today. Why did I do that? I have to go home and put my chicken in the air fryer... SMH. It's wet and undercooked.

This is a must-visit spot for delicious Southern cuisine at unbeatable prices. The staff is fantastic, and the manager is truly exceptional. You'll get plenty of food, whether you're dining solo or with others. Be sure to check out this location!

During my first visit, I was truly impressed by the efficient service provided by the friendly young lady at the counter. The food exceeded my expectations with its authentic Southern flair and flavor. The pork chop was juicy and fresh, and the black-eyed peas and greens were absolutely delicious! The fish was outstanding as well. However, I found the beef tips and rice to be a bit disappointing—the meat was rubbery and I only received about three teaspoons of rice. While the macaroni and cheese was tasty, it could have used a little more seasoning. Overall, I'll definitely be coming back again and again!

I have Southern Fried Fish with Mac and Cheese and Turnip Greens. It tasted good and it wasn't long waiting to get it.
