Five Guys - Coralville

Food here is always great, especially the fresh fries. The staff there the day we went were great. Only thing I wish is that the tables and chairs were more comfy.

This place is decorated with quotations from approving reviews, but it's hard to see why anyone would be enthusiastic. This was my first experience with Five Guys, and short of some food emergency, it will also be my last. My cheeseburger was perfectly ordinary, not bad, but nothing exceptional. The entire menu was unusually expensive for a fast food restaurant. My cheeseburger cost $13 without any fries and without any drink. Adding a side and a drink would easily have pushed the cost past $20. All of my dining companions commented on the sticker shock. So, in short, I can't recommend this place. It has the ambiance of a generic fast food restaurant at a price that would justify a lot more.

Not as good as it used to be less customizable food options

So ridiculously overpriced for being such basic burgers and fries. You can get much better for much cheaper in actual restaurants around here.

Once again, my delivery time jumped 30 mins after the driver arrived at the restaurant. I then watched the driver go sit at another restaurant for 15 mins before driving the opposite direction from my house in order to deliver someone else's food. As I work in food service, I am continually frustrated with the incompetence of these drivers. A work force full of rude, unprofessional, and inept drivers greatly effects customer satisfaction.
