Ponte Vecchio e Pizzeria - Coral Gables

We were greeted by the owner as soon as we walked in, who was very friendly, and the servers were also very pleasant. However, the food did not meet my expectations. I may give them another chance to see if it improves.

It was closed. I had a confirmed reservation, but it was closed and was not said.

Great place for a quick dinner. Nice little strip area of Coconut Grove and a friendly little restaurant with fantastic food. We had seven different dishes amongst our group and everyone was very pleased. even the ratatouille had more than a peasant dish flavor. There were not a lot of people there and service was still slow. After spending some time in South Florida, Beginning to think that this is a “thing“ because people seem to be more laid-back in this area.

Great traditional Italian food, friendly and attentive service, very reasonable prices—if I lived in the area it would be on my regular list of go to places.

We arrived a little early and waited at the bar with drinks! Service at the bar was friendly and sweet. When our table was ready the bar tab was transferred to the table with professional enthusiasm. My Linguine with Clams was changed to Spaghetti with Clams at my request while the server was delighted to handle the request. When the food arrived it was hot and wonderful! My wife’s Egg Plant was delicious! We had never seen such a wonderful restaurant staff working in unison efficiently without rushing or running! The owner came over to greet us and ask about our dishes. She was delightful to speak with and very charming. We can’t remember when our visit to a restaurant had been so perfect! Apparently, they are new owners and committed to their patrons!!
