Pearl Fever Tea House - Coquitlam

I have been visiting Pearl Fever for approximately 15 years, and I always make it a priority to stop by whenever I'm in town. The quality of the drinks is consistently outstanding, and there is ample seating inside. Every staff member is exceptionally friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend trying the matcha ice cream, UFO drink, and tofu dessert! ❤️

On November 29, the staff member was exceptionally friendly and courteous, and she greeted me with a warm, sincere smile. I ordered the honey green milk tea, which, even at 50% sweetness, was a bit sweeter than I would have liked. I also hoped for a more pronounced tea flavor. Nevertheless, the drinks are fantastic, and the service—especially—was outstanding.

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The staff were unfriendly and even pressured me to leave a 10% tip. They openly embarrassed me by yelling about insufficient funds, which felt completely unwarranted. To make matters worse, they didn’t make any eye contact and seemed more focused on their phones than on the customers. It’s frustrating to be treated so poorly, especially when the service is lacking. It feels a bit hypocritical when they judge someone’s financial situation while their own appearance looks like it was put together in the dark.

I’ve discovered my new favorite boba tea spot! I really appreciate the ability to customize my own drink, but if I had to pick one, my absolute favorite would have to be the UFO drink (half sweet).

The staff is very friendly and accommodating to children, making it a welcoming place for families. Also, there is ample parking available in two large lots nearby.
