Dairy Queen Grill Chill - Coon Rapids

Dairy Queen is great (especially this time of year)! We ordered a couple cones and a Blizzard. The food was delicious but the cones didn't last long in the 90° weather. But that's part of the reason why they give you napkins!

Bigger than some DQ's I've been to and we brought a large group in. The staff were AMAZING and quick though, working together to get are large order going straight away so we could keep our group moving. Thank you so much for staying organization and getting out all our orders.

Quick service. Beautifully designed ice cream cake and when they added happy birthday on it they held it for me in the freezer when they realized we were eating there before leaving. They were very attentive and brought it out to us quickly when we were ready to leave. Onion rings are the best ever!

Usually only share positive reviews on Google, but this was such a poor experience I have to post about it. First off, the two blizzards we ordered came out maybe 3/4 full. We asked about it and the worker said that’s just how it is and was completely unhelpful. Finally he took them and just added vanilla ice cream to the top. Next, the blizzards were incredibly runny. By the time we got home it was almost like soup. The worst part, though, was finding a strand of hair in the blizzard, as shown in this picture. Grew up coming here for years…not sure if ownership has changed or what, but I would never return again based on this experience.

Unfortunately, my experience at this DQ location tonight was truly disappointing. My husband and I are regular visitors and usually enjoy it here, but not this time. My dipped cone was the worst I've ever encountered; the chocolate coating was incredibly clumpy, and it was running down the cone. To make matters worse, the napkin got stuck to it, so I found myself eating the napkin just to get to the cone. When I finally got a bite, the cone itself was stale and hard to chew, so I had to throw it away. I also couldn't help but notice that the staff seemed disorganized and unengaged. It's disheartening because I usually love this location, and the manager has always seemed so capable and attentive.
