Canteen Kitchen - Coolum Beach

We tried the local dinner special at this restaurant, which was the paprika chicken gnocchi. The dish was flavorful, but the portion was on the smaller side. We saved room for dessert and were pleased with the chocolate torte, which had a delicious combination of marzipan, chocolate, sweetness, cream, and honey crunch. The ice cream sandwich was also enjoyable. The restaurant was not crowded, and the service was good. We were able to relax and enjoy our evening without feeling rushed.

We went to this restaurant for dinner. We ordered the Turkish bread, fish tacos, calamari (as entrees) and NZ cod (as the main dish). The service was excellent, we were seated promptly and our food arrived quickly. The staff were friendly. The food was alright, nothing particularly outstanding and the portions were small. We were expecting either larger portions or better quality given the prices.

What a fantastic meal and dining experience! The black bell red curry was outstanding. The calamari appetizer was light, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The recommended Sangiovese wine was also delicious. The value for the price was great, and we will definitely be returning to try the black bauch curry next time. I highly recommend dining here; you won't be disappointed. The staff were also fantastic, deserving of a generous tip.

Not sure why it is so expensive.3 breakfasts with 4 coffees $86.80c extra Decaf?? 80c extra Oatmilk.$19 for a very average acai bowl.The only item without oil or fat.$7 for a piece of Bacon to be added to another.When we ask to make sure the black coffee has the crema. They asked did we want cream with it.???We replied that the Barista will know.They replied we don't have one. ????Though the staff were very good and helpful.

Sorry to be negative. I have a lot of compassion for the industry, but the food we had tonight was absolutely shocking. My curry had a burnt flavour through it (like When you burn the bottom of the pot) and my husbands steak was stone cold. You can see the kitchen on the way to the bathroom and it looked very grotty. Floor staff were good. Seemed there are some major issues that the owner should address in the kitchen. Skip this place. We walked out paying $140 and the food was barely up to any standard
