It’s in Coolongoolook, which, at about three hours north of Sydney, is perfectly placed for a lunch pit stop on your way up the coast. I discovered it in back in 2012, and it hasn’t let me down yet. While the weekend menu is usually more exciting and extensive, on a rainy Wednesday morning they still managed to put out a chalkboard menu boasting four different local fishes – flathead, blackfish, mullet and whiting. Wow, totally agree what a find! Well worth the stop. Fish is super fresh, hamburgers are huge and salads are just enough to fill the hole. <br/
Simple, consistent, focused. Delicious fish chips. Great batter. Like exceptional batter. Super fresh, better than most fish places in Sydney. Delightful.
