An old style country pub, with a little charm. Good for a beer in an interesting setting, it does have atmosphere. Open style setting you can easily lose the afternoon.
Ordinary Pub food at a realistic price. Probably wouldn't buy a red by the glass though. The beer was cold and cheaper than my local down south which is a surprise when you think how far away Cooktown is from anywhere. We were in the beer garden and the very friendly staff were chatty and even bought our small dog a bowl of water.
The whole place smells like a urinal, drinks are expensive, the food is very basic and over priced and the staff are a bit strange
