Contribuiți la feedbackThere aren’t a lot of full service breakfast places in the area so I was excited to try here this morning. It was loud, boisterous, and friendly when I walked in and the food was served hot and quickly. Loved the flavors. But then I had finished my plate before my friend and the bus girl/hostess asked to clear it and when I said yes she also cleared my friend’s plate without asking. She still had half her food on it! My friend was too surprised to say anything. A few minutes later, I had finished my tea and moved the cup to the inside of the booth because my friend was still finishing her drink. Again she came and immediately cleared my mug and stared at us in nervous anticipation until I finally looked at her and said “we’re leaving.” I waitressed at a diner in Boston for a long time so I get turning over tables but not like that.Nevermind that other tables had gotten there before us and were camping out. Unfortunately it left a bitter taste in my mouth and I won’t be back.
A lovely, lively spot, good for all ages. Kid-friendliness: Nicely considerate to young families.
Helens was an absolute beautiful breakfast. We stopped in only because it was close to a booked store and it shared my sister's name but it was a pleasant surprise. The coffee tasted good and the lunch was even better. Out waitress was so sweet to and very caring. Parking: Parking was easiest across the street on the street.
The food was ok.Coffee was goodService was ok too, until they brought the payment machine and for 55$ bill I chose to leave 5$ tips instead of (lowest) 10$ offered. After that the lady just left with a sad face, came back minute later concerned if the service was bad or something. Like I dont see it adequate to leave more than 10% from the total bill, SORRY, Im european. So Im guessing all the “being nice” attitude and “wow you have nice coat blah blah” was purely all for TIPS.Not coming back
This place can get crowded. They have a really great breakfast menu.
