Asian Garden - Concord

I always evaluate a Chinese restaurant based on its General Tso’s Chicken, pork fried rice, and boneless BBQ spare ribs. Since moving to the area, I have struggled to find a place that prepares these dishes to my liking, until now! I was thoroughly impressed. The boneless ribs were cooked perfectly; not dry or undercooked. The fried rice was delicious and the General Tso’s Chicken was the best I have had in years, even coming from New York where they have excellent Chinese restaurants. My only concern with places like this is that the food can vary depending on the chef, but as of now, I plan on returning to this restaurant. If my experience changes, I will update my review.

This restaurant offers fantastic Chinese cuisine. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, they do not have indoor seating and only allow two people inside at a time. There is plastic sheeting separating the ordering area from the kitchen, which may be unsettling to some customers.

The service at this restaurant was outstanding. We called in only 15 minutes before closing, and the staff confirmed that we could still come in without any attitude. Our sesame chicken was crispy and fresh, and the lo mein had a good texture. However, the standout dish was the vegetable egg rolls, which were the best I have ever had. I had been craving them since I had them in Charlotte, where few places serve vegetable egg rolls instead of spring rolls. Despite us arriving late, the staff took care in preparing our food and were very friendly. We appreciated the great service and delicious food. Highly recommended.
