Huckleberry's Breakfast Lunch - Concord

I really wanted to love this place! I love the concept of a southern style brunch spot, haven?t seen one like it on the west coast. The waffle was amazing and delicious, yum. Everything else was pretty good. The chicken however was hilariously bad, as if they heated up frozen chicken tenders. Avoid the chicken but get yourself a waffle dish.

Review is for service. Looked forward all week to try this new restaurant with my family. Waited 20 min for a table, typical for a Saturday morning. However after we were seated, we waited... and waited...and waited for someone to at least take our drink order or acknowledge we were waiting. It was busy so we gave it some time. After 20 min passed my husband had to ask someone else if they could get our server who finally came, never even introducing herself. Notsure what was going on with her but we had to ask for silverware, water, and coffee refills repeatedly. Meanwhile I noticed people who came after us were serviced immediately by their servers. Food and coffee was good. I had the crabcake eggs benedict and beignets. I'm willing to try this place again, but probably during the week when it's not so crazy busy.

Huckleberry's Is Located At 4391 Treat Blvd In Concord California, Where the Old Black Bear Dinner Use To be. They Are Opened For Breakfast And Lunch 7am Til 3pm. Mask are required, The Food is Very Good. My Oldest Daughter Had their Shrimp Poor Boy, My Next to the Oldest daughter had their Stuffed Chicken and Waffles, My Brother Had their Fish and Chips, My Grandson Had their Steak and fries, My Youngest Daughter And I Had their Bayou Catfish ???? it was A continuation of MyNext To the Oldest Daughters Birthday Celebration. Our Waitress Was Amazing and very Attentive, making Sure that we were taken care of. It is a very nice Restaurant and everyone is Friendly.

It's a cool little place, that could easily get to 4 or 5 star status... the good: great food, awesome portions. The bad: the place seems to be run by kids. That's NOT a bad thing, but silly things happen.. dishes breaking in the background, they literally apologized for not having a knife for me to use to eat, and the register was down because someone else was logged in elsewhere, rendering the register by the door out of order. All in all, I'd go back. The staffis kind and polite.

First time here! The place is ok! Had breakfast the service was excellent! The food was good! Its sorta american style with some flavor if u ask me!
