The gaspacho was tasty, terrine was fantastic (carrot zucchini)! the raw tomaten zucchini lasagna is a must try very light and tasty! the buddha bowl was good. after a week of tourism in bretagne we lacked so much fun (have a galette overdose)...and were so glad to finally find a great vegan / vegetarian restaurant! we recommend
We were so glad to come to this place and tried his Buddha bowl as lunch. everything was great from the appetizers to the suppe and the coffee. the buddha shells greens were fresh and quinoa was served hot, and the whole...Bowl was delicious. highly recommended to try if they are in the opposite.
Looking for an alternative to the Breton creperie for dinner whilst staying overnight in Concarneau we checked Trip Advisor and found this vegetarian restaurant which sounded promising. The restaurant is small with just a few mismatched tables and a rather bizarre collection of plastic and...silk flower displays in the window. We started with gazpacho which normally we both love and sometimes make ourselves, but the flavour of the gazpacho we were served was disappointing. It was extremely bland and appeared not to have any garlic in it. So on to the next course and we had both chosen a tomato and basil tart with salad. When it arrived it was certainly not what either of us were expecting an individual tartlet with a wholemeal pastry case containing a frankly peculiar filling something which I can only describe as being like a hot tomato custard with just a single slice of tomato on top and the taste of basil was absent. From the photos other people have uploaded showing flans and salad we had expected something much the same. The waitress realised that I wasn't happy with my flan as I left most of it. Desert was a slight improvement but very basic a banana puréed like baby food in almond milk with sliced banana and cinnamon. We both normally love vegetarian food, but what we had sadly ranked low in terms cooking standard. Be aware that this is a vegan restaurant which may explain the strange tomato flan.
How amazing to turn a corner in Concarneau and find a vegetarian and vegan restaurant. The owner was very friendly and helpful explaining the menu carefully and answering all our questions, despite my broken French. My salad was fresh and delicious and my partner's...saute tofu and potatoes was declared very tasty with a nice balance of flavours. There was a good selection of drinks and desserts and all at a very reasonable price. Definitely worth seeking out even if you are not vegetarian.
