Como restaurante italiano, ofrece una amplia variedad de platos, aunque escasea en postres y no ofrece opciones de pescado. La calidad es buena y las porciones son abundantes. Los platos suelen servirse calientes, sin posibilidad de encontrar la pasta fría. Sin embargo, algunas especialidades pueden llegar recocidas, como por ejemplo, la conocida paja y heno, quizás debido a la utilización de pasta fresca. La atmósfera es poco íntima, siendo más adecuado para cenas informales, por ejemplo, antes de ir al cine, ya que suele encontrarse en muchos centros comerciales (Príncipe Pío, Kinépolis, entre otros). El precio es algo elevado, habiendo italianos más económicos y fieles a la tradición de la pasta al dente, así como locales más acogedores, en el barrio. En cuanto a la limpieza, es correcta. Personalmente, no me agrada la práctica de pasar los recipientes de parmesano de mesa en mesa, con la cucharilla incluida. En cuanto al servicio, es regular. Aunque cuentan con numerosos camareros, en momentos de gran afluencia suelen resultar lentos, tal y como se puede apreciar, por ejemplo, en el local de Diversia durante los días laborables al mediodía o en Kinépolis los fines de semana por la noche. Es probable que se tenga tiempo para digerir mientras se espera el postre. Al pertenecer al grupo Vips, se acepta su tarjeta para acumular puntos. En muchas ocasiones se encuentra junto a una tienda Vips o incluso otro restaurante de la misma cadena.
El Ginos es la cadena de restaurantes italianos del grupo vips. La verdad, solo voy con mis hijos, yo soy más de menú del día español, pero de vez en cuando no está mal. Me gusta más para cenar, ya que me parece que los platos son ligeros, aunque yo soy muy comilón. Lo que más me gusta es que no solo hay pasta y pizza. Recomiendo la ensalada César y los escalopines.
