O Ze' Restaurant Lounge - Comporta

My wife and I tried this restaurant for a kind of a romantic dinner. We had to wait 45min to go to the table, not because there were not tables but because they were understaffed. The same person handling the tables was also at the other side of the restaurant doing crepes and serving ice creams... In any case when we got to the table we ordered a fish rice. The fish was overcooked and the rice was pretty plain. When I was asked how it was I gave this feedback and the waiter told the owner. The owner came to our table and had a discussion with us saying that we didn't know how fresh fish tasted like!!! After the long wait, the bad attitude and the poor food we'll never go there again. This restaurant tries to leverage on its décor and atmosphere but that's it. Also because Comporta has several places for excellent food at very reasonable prices.

Nice lounge and facilities, food and service are good. You can find local cousine and some italian like dishes (and ice cream) for a reasonable price. But when you want to eat good fish, there are better places to go. Overall price/quality ratio is not great in my opinion (for the area)

If you're looking for a different approach towards portuguese food try this restaurant in Comporta, near Troia. It offers a very comfortable room with a menu that is far more varied and original than most restaurants in this region. We get fantastic risottos that take the best of local ingredients and several fish delicacies that taste very good. In the end you should try the artisan italian ice cream. Just wonderful.

This is one of the best restaurants in Portugal , will definitely go there againand I would advise anyone reading this not to hesitate
