I believe it was seasoned well but a little too much salt but not enough to make you stop eating it. It is very small on the inside but is cozy. The people who took care of me I believe they were the owners and very friendly. They do talk Spanish for anyone who might struggle with english. I will be back for more to try different menu items.
I’m originally from San Antonio, and I’ve struggled to find a true Mexican restaurant here, but I can confidently say that this place is the best in the Springs. If you’re looking for authentic Mexican food, this spot is a must-visit!
Unfortunately, we noticed that the rice was missing. The papa rellena was just okay, and the aji de gallina was the worst I've ever tasted. On the bright side, the alfajores were likely the best I've ever had. However, considering that most of the food was mediocre at best, the total bill of $68 felt excessive for the limited portion sizes. We still left a $13 tip, but after reviewing the math, it seemed we had been overcharged. When we reached out to Rosario's, they informed us that for to-go orders, they add a 10% fee for the containers! No one mentioned this to us beforehand, and the owner claimed they used reusable containers, although we received a Styrofoam box and two plastic containers. Apparently, each so-called 'reusable' container cost $3 and change. Having worked in restaurants for many years, I know these containers are purchased wholesale, meaning they don’t actually pay that much for each one. Please take the time to double-check your bill and inquire about the additional 10% fee, as they won’t inform you. We used to frequent this place often, but due to the decline in food quality and the lack of transparency regarding the extra charges, we will not be returning. We appreciate the effort to offer coupons on your website, but we are done with Rosario's. It's essential to be honest with your customers and stop imposing extra charges without notice. This is how we are repaid for trying to support your business.
I’m so pleased to have finally discovered a restaurant that serves authentic Mexican cuisine rather than just Tex-Mex. I ordered the quesadilla with rice and beans, and I was delighted to find that the cheese was traditional white cheese instead of the cheddar that many places use these days. The tortilla was soft and flavorful, and the beans weren't overly seasoned with cumin like at most restaurants around town. They also offered a great selection of Mexican beverages, from Jarritos to homemade horchata and Jamaica. My husband enjoyed a massive burrito filled with barbacoa, and he absolutely loved it! It was huge and packed with meat, rice, beans, guacamole, and crema. We’ll definitely be coming back soon for more!
I'm about to enjoy some street tacos with my wife. So delicious!!!
