Kurofune Japanese - Commack

I've visited numerous sushi restaurants on Long Island and across the country, and I can confidently say that Kurofune ranks among the best—if not the very best—on Long Island! I highly recommend it to anyone who appreciates delicious, fresh sushi!

Oddly, I have been eating at the place for about 3 years on and off and it used to be excellent but after the sale and change in ownership things really went down hill. They were short staffed alot of times and service was lousy. The sushi quality was quite poor and I have eaten in alot of Japanese rests, as this was probably done to save cost. Also the last time I went- actually about 4 times within a 3 week period they were closed for 3 weeks-who knows why, sort of odd but for the best Kotobuki is still the best place to go and worth the price. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

This is a fantastic spot for an authentic taste of Japan. It's owned and operated by Japanese individuals, and the sushi chef has undergone seven years of training in Japan. The fish is incredibly fresh and expertly prepared. They also offer delicious Japanese favorites and a variety of appetizer-style dishes.

I left feeling happy and satisfied, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit to this sushi gem!
