Riverside Lanes - Colusa

I used to come all the time, but it sure is different now. I showed up at 1045 on Sunday with kids and elderly just to be turned away. Apparently they had tournaments that was not listed on their website. It wouldn't have been such a bad experience, but the lady at the desk was rude AND we drove 40 miles to get there. This place is great! Clean and welcoming, well-lit lanes, very reasonable prices, accommodating staff, classic yummy food, and plenty of drink selections. The kids had a blast going between bowling and the arcade games. We were there on Karaoke night and even Santa made an appearance before the night was over.

Like bowling? Good. Like fantastic burgers? Even better! I have had awesome food and service from everyone but the owner/manager. That's why there's only three stars. We wanted to have my son's b-day party there and have them supply the food. I understand the owner's policy to a point. Her unwillingness to work with us while we were willing to pay extra, and I don't mean just a crisp $20 bill, left me just about ready to cancel the whole thing. We even worked a situation that was win/win for her, plus paying extra and she turned us down flat. The ONLY reason we had the bowling and cake there was because of the awesome employees. All in all, it was a fun party, but we ate first elsewhere. Bottom line, I still go in once in a while to have a burger, but I have a hard time supporting a business that doesn't even bat an eye at being so hard to work with and rude.

Absolutely the best burgers in town! The atmosphere is fantastic, and the staff is super friendly. I will definitely be returning. Plus, there's a small arcade area that adds to the fun!
