The Crispy Coop - Columbus

The chicken was really good. The mashed potatoes tasted like they were made from scratch. The mac was rather starchy tasting. Overall, the food was not bad. My 1-star review is because if I accidentally ate a shellfish/seafood allergen I would go into anaphylaxis shock. I asked the person at the counter if they served anything shellfish because of my severe allergy and the cook in the back poked his head around and replied sarcastically with This is Crispy Coop Chicken, we serve chicken . Secondly, water was dripping from the HVAC all over the tables, cups, lids, etc, the lighting was dim, the floor was sticky, the parking lot was in poor condition, and the outside eating area had all the chairs up and non accessible. While the chicken was not bad. I will take my business down the road to Hot Chicken Takeover.

Really good food and customer service was great as well. I like the setup inside with the TVs....parking is little challenging but overall great experience. I recommend this spot!

Ordered through grubhub. My food was picked up as soon as the driver arrived (no extra wait). My food arrived hot. My food was SO GOOD. Their chicken is reminiscent of the world famous Buena vista cafe chicken which is truly second to none. The collards and Mac and cheese were world class, if you’re seeking good fried chicken and side this is the place to try. It’s a break from the traditional, but rest assured it’s fantastic.

The chicken sandwich was outstanding but however the greens were even better! Get the Greens! That's my suggestion.

Tonight was our first trip take out. 2 White meals and a strip meal. SO GOOD! Chicken was well cooked moist inside and crispy outside. The meals are very filling. Trxas wedge, coleslaw, and mac n cheese are all good sides. We will be back!
