Pochi Cafe - Columbus

HEALTH CONCERNS! My once and only time going to get any food or drinks from this place. The 1st thing that I notice when I walked in the door was how unclean things seems to be. This should have been a sign that I shouldn?t have footed anything here. When I got to the counter I notice that everything food items) were out on the counter at room temperature. Things should have been in the coolers. I then proceeded to order a drink, against my better judgment. The kid working there started to use the stuff sitting out, I quickly requested that he used the items that were in the cooler. The boba tea that I got tasted mediocre at best. The tea was not cold and was served at almost room temperature. Since I already paid like $6 for my drink, I consumed the rest. I paid the price later on that evening. I had a very bad stomach ache possibly food poisoning) all evening long. I don?t know how this place got like. 4.3 stars out of 5. I highly suggest that you DO NOT go to this cafe. Unless you want food poisoning. ZERO STARS.

Had the beef and cheddar with horseradish Mayo and a side of the Broccoli salad. It all was tasty. The sub was perfectly toasted and the sauce was strong, which I loved, although if you don't want your nose to burn...ask for the sauce on the side. ????

I have been on a quest to find the best, most authentic bubble tea with plenty of variety at a reasonable price, and I finally struck gold at Pochi Cafe! Located at 921 E. Johnstown Road, Columbus, Ohio 43230, this place is absolutely amazing! You can find it just off Hamilton Avenue, past Morse Road, in a plaza alongside an OSU medical building, Dog Spaw, and Mr. Wok, directly across from a standalone CVS. Pochi Cafe offers a wide range of traditional boba tea in various milk options, as well as numerous tea variations. In addition to the classic boba pearls, they also serve delicious popping bubbles that burst in your mouth filled with flavorful liquids—what a fun experience! A large bubble tea in any variety is just $5.00, while a medium is only $3.50—super affordable! But bubble tea isn't the only star here; their smoothies and extensive coffee selection are also noteworthy. There are at least 20 different coffee blends to choose from, and I highly recommend the Almond Joy—so delicious! Now, let’s talk about the food. Wow, the food! They have deli salads that will blow your mind. The broccoli salad is incredible, featuring fresh broccoli, sunflower seeds, raisins, red onions, and a slaw sauce that's irresistible. I was so impressed that after my meal (which comes with a deli side or salad and a drink), I had to buy a pound of it to take home! I ordered the Reuben, which is made with freshly sliced meat and topped with delicious slaw and melted cheese. It came open-faced and, while not the most visually appealing, the taste is legendary! They use a pizza oven to toast the bread to perfection, making the cheese melty and indulgent. I loved it so much that I returned the next day and ordered the meatball stromboli—it’s that good!

The food here is excellent, and the drinks are what really draw me in. I'm a big fan of the boba! While the venue itself isn't particularly appealing, it’s nice to see the food preparation area, which is generally clean—though the floors can be a bit sticky at times.

The restaurant has a quirky vibe and offers plenty of space, making it great for gathering with friends or just enjoying a book. I particularly loved their Halloween decorations, especially the adorable tinsel dog holding a pumpkin—I want one for myself! The service was a bit slower than at other places I've been, but everything was made fresh, and the staff was incredibly friendly both times. On my second visit, the guy at the counter even brought my tea to me along with a whole container of bubble tea straws so I could pick my favorite color. I can’t wait to bring my sister here on our next outing!
