Krossroads Kitchen - Columbus

Had a Dr appt and the assistant that I always get recommended a restaurant which is inside the gas station across the road. We never knew they were there. Apparently they have been open for 2 years now. We have tried a bunch of restaurants in the area so for lunch we stopped here. They are on one side of the restaurant and being new didn't know what to order. The guy behind the counter said they were in the process of closing a bit early because it had been slow. He did however say he could make something so he recommended a mountain Club. So we agreed to try it. Within minutes it came out., They have a small area with a few tables so we sat down. The sandwich was piled high with meat, cheese, tomatoes and lettuce along with their garden mayo. The bread was toasted perfectly. It was definitely a nice sandwich, and had a great taste. We talked to the owners after we were done. Both very nice and welcoming. We will go back for sure. He gave us his card so we could call and even put a order in if we wanted it ready when we got there. The menu on the wall had quite a bit of things to try so we will go back for sure, especially the hamburgers they look good. Try this hidden Gem!

Hey guys...hey guys...found another GREAT PLACE...A 10 easily... My wife had a doctors appointment in Columbus...so while talking to the nurse...I asked her if she could recommend some place for lunch...seeing we've tried everyone in this small but quaint town...so she said if you want some really good food...you have to try this small restaurant in the Texaco gas station..,she said I don't remember the name but you'll see it...good enough for me...we headed there...just down the street...we went in and located in a small corner was a takeout counter...so I was looking on the menu board and this guy behind the counter said I'm sorry but it's been slow today so we thought we pick it a little early and I said ok..,but he said what did you want and I said I really don't know...he said may I recommend something...sure...he asked do you like club sandwiches? Yes...I recommend the MOUNTAIN CLUB...ok...it came out 2 minutes later...WOW...ARE YOU KIDDING ME...this sandwich was packed high with crispy bacon...and a bunch of ham and turkey...juicy red fresh homegrown tomatoes...just enough lettuce...not overpowering and this GARDEN MAYONNAISE...that really made this AWESOME...it had to be at least 6 inches high...I looked at it and thought how am I going to eat this...had no problems...this so called sandwich was A MEAL IN IT SELF...guys this is one of these restaurants you would have missed if somebody didn't recommend it...AWESOME...so while checking out got to talk to that guy that recommended this so called sandwich and asked how'd you like it...I said are you kidding me...I'm stuffed...so come to find out...he was one of the two owners...JOHN AND MIKE...GREAT PEOPLE...come to find out they also make homemade ICE-CREAM in the summer months...so we will definitely be back very soon...GREAT PLACE...AWESOME FOOD... DON'T MISS THIS ONE...WELL WORTH THE STOP...

Delicious gourmet quality sandwiches hidden inside a gas station. Definitely a hidden gem! Ordered the shrimp grits springrolls with mango kick sauce, the Native on Fry bread and the Blue Ridge Bomber. Great and unusual pairing of flavors in each dish. A must try if you're in the area.

What a nice surprise to find this great fast food at a gas station near rte 40!!! We thoroughly enjoyed our made-to-order Bubba hot cheesy shrimp and mushroom sandwich and the special of the day, shrimp avocado pasta salad!!! We recommend stopping here, even if it takes you out of your way! Enjoy

Everything they make is delicious! I love their specials and egg rolls. Will definitely be a repeat customer!
