Contribuiți la feedbackWhile visiting the Grove City area with a friend, we decided to try this restaurant based on its positive reviews before heading back to Dublin. We ordered burgers, and they were fantastic! Both bartenders were friendly and efficient, making us feel right at home. The crowd appeared to be local, and everyone was very welcoming. The live band played some great music too. We were truly impressed and will definitely return!
The restaurant has a charming, homey atmosphere with great food and excellent service. The facility is very clean, and they serve breakfast all day, every day. Families are welcome until 8 PM since they also operate as a bar. If you haven't tried this place yet, I highly recommend giving it a shot!
Decided to go off the beaten path to Burnzie's Old Trail Inn. It was a part of history starting out in 1947 as Old Trail Inn. Then the original owner passed away in 2007 and the new owner moved it to it's present location on S. Grener Road. This is your old time neighborhood bar. Everyone new everyone else. We had gone in for the Prime Rib special that is listed to start at 4 but the time has been changed to 5. No big deal, decided to go ahead and ordered T-Bone steak with Baked Potato and salad and a roll. The salad was small in my opinion but the French dressing was okay. The baked potato was satisfactory but I was hoping that the skin would have had a little substance to it. Now for the steak, had high hopes for it but yet another let down. It was cooked medium but the steak had a large amount of fat and gristle, making it very tough. Server was nice enough but there are other things to work on here. They do do breakfast all day so maybe that would be the route to take.
Burnzie's is one of those secret dives that nobody tells you about, and locals try to keep on the down low. From the outside it looks like a scary dive/biker bar that Pee Wee Herman could not even escape unscathed from, but in reality It's just a regular local hang out serving up nice delicious kitchen eats. Burnzies is your typical dive bar Old, aged, dimly lit, and the same old daily patrons still hobble in and out to cure their hangovers and feed their habits. There's a few tables, but for most part it's high tops and the bar. Breakfast is the time to be here and when Waffle House up the road is touting wait times, this is just as good of an alternative. The barkeep is salty, stone faced, but slightly pleasant like a tough love mama kind of way. She made certain we were taken care of. The food here is your typical breakfast offerings like other places. Bacon, eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, hashbrowns, etc. The big breakfast that many were ordering is the Prime Rib Breakfast on their specials board. A HUGE prime rib steak with eggs and hashbrowns. It's A LOT of food. Enough to sustain you even well past lunch time, or enough to even split with a compadre, but it was delicious. There's really no frills to Burnzies. There's no magic hipstery gimmicks, no rosemary mayos, not a drop of sriracha to be found, but they keep to their old school, America ways and the prices aren't too terrible, either. A lot are touting the burgers on here. I have yet to judge, but it's certainly on my bucket list. Burnzie's still will remain on my radar for divey American eats. I'm a fan.
When you think of a local Columbus bar, Burnzie's should come to mind. This is a great place that everyone definitely knew each other. Went in for a quick bite on a a Thursday and the place was fairly busy as it was Karaoke night. The menu is basically bar food but they had some solid wings. There were drunk and food specials and the bartender was very nice. So if you want some good food and cheap drinks, this is the place. Not much to look at from the outside but give it a try and you won't be disappointed.
