Contribuiți la feedbackThis was my first time dining at a Mediterranean restaurant. I decided to try the Persian chicken with Walnut sauce, which was incredibly tender and delicious. My companion ordered the Moussaka, a lamb and beef dish similar to a Shepards pie. I found it tasty, although he thought the Cinnamon Nutmeg flavors were a bit overwhelming. For dessert, I opted for the Limoncello Mascarpone, which was absolutely delicious. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and I am glad we decided to dine there.
We arrived early on a Saturday evening and were seated immediately. We were not familiar with the wine selection, but our hostess brought us several samples to try and we decided on a Rioja. We started with the Sanbouset appetizer, which was excellent. There were two lamb tangines on the menu, so I ordered one and my son ordered the other. My wife opted for the chicken kabob. All three dishes were delicious and the portions were very generous. Additionally, they brought out freshly baked bread that was also very good. We shared a dessert, which was delicious. There was also a dancer performing in the restaurant as well. The food was excellent, the service was great, and the prices were reasonable considering the quantity and quality of the food we received.
This was the worst Mediterranean dinner I've ever had. I ordered a shrimp kabob (which they claimed was a special order, not a substitute) and they charged me $30 for shrimp on rice with onions. The chef needs to learn what a kabob actually is. This restaurant is a joke. I also ordered a Greek Farm salad, which was a disappointment with just romaine lettuce, a few olives, and a tablespoon of feta from a package. This place needs to either change their menu or find a new chef.
Always enjoy the food and atmosphere here, seems we don't get down here frequently enough. We sort of stopped by on short notice, and we should have called ahead to see if we could get a reservation, but they managed to get us in after a short wait even without a reservation. We stopped by on a night where they had a belly dancer which is always a fun add on to the dinner experience. We plan on trying to come more often as the food is always excellent.
The Caspian cafe did not disappoint ,We had the spanakopita for an appetizer, lamb/beef kabobs and Moroccan chicken for main courses and the baklava for dessert . Every dish was delicious . Our waiter was very friendly and helpful . The place was very clean but a little dated decor-wise. Definitely would recommend.
