Suki The Cuisine - Colonial Beach

I enjoyed every aspect of this venue. The service was excellent, and the food was delightful. I can’t wait to return! Food: 1/5

The restaurant has a dated vibe and feels more like a takeout spot. Although the atmosphere wasn't exceptional, the food was quite good. Despite being understaffed, the service was still fairly attentive.

That being said, I hesitate to say that this restaurant offers a rather unpredictable dining experience, which leans more towards the negative side. On one visit, the meal was well-cooked and the portions were generous. On another, while the food was nicely prepared, the entrée portions were so laughably small that they could barely pass for appetizers. There was a time when the food was so overwhelmingly salty that, despite being very hungry and eager to avoid cooking that night, we had no choice but to throw it away. Additionally, I encountered an unusual situation where cabbage was used in place of bean sprouts, which was odd enough, but several pieces of cabbage were moldy. Overall, the 2-star rating I gave on Yelp reflects that the experience could have been much better—and it certainly had that potential. I genuinely hope this little establishment can improve because we really enjoy Thai food and want to see them thrive.

Service was eh. Took way too long to receive our food even though it was off hours and there weren’t that many people. And when the food finally came, it wasn’t impressive. Curry was watered down and not much flavor. And chicken meat was rubbery.

The Shrimp Tempura and the chicken teriyaki were both FANTASTIC! Very friendly staff. Thanks so much!
