Contribuiți la feedbackThe GINTI, in Handelstr. Corner Richard Wagner Str. stands for “a bit of Bollywood”, a culinary journey in India and the art of an exemplary host! “Namaste” and welcome to Ginti! The restaurant is divided into two areas. The entrance area, which has been kept very bright and predominantly sterile, is equipped with high tables and comfortable benches. The rear area with sofas and discreetly arranged tables with cozy seating furniture. The ambience is generally simple and yet beautifully rated, as well as in a very pleasant, noble way to “only discretely indistinct” without driving into the cross. Bright walls with Indian wisdom, subareas in natural stone optics, many indirect light sources, discretely placed Indian accessories, dark wooden tables and menus with wooden frames that I liked immediately. But now for the actual visit and the core of the review: Our short-term, telephone reservation was accepted friendly. The reception was friendly and very warm! I would even claim to have experienced a model of hospitality and service culture in this place!!! The menu is varied and well structured! In addition to traditional Indian cuisine, this offers excellent dishes baked in the Tandoori oven, a variety of vegetarian as well as meat and fish dishes. There is also an additional day ticket with extremely low prices! none of the lunches are over 7.00 Euro There were Papadam with three dives. Minzeirgendwas, Mango Chutney and Tamarinde As an appetizer we chose “Chicken King Prawn Pakora” € 4,00 € 5,00 chicken shrimps baked in chickpea flour This appetizer was a successful and extremely taste-intensive start! The main course “Lamm Tikka Masala” € 13.50 was to kneel down! The lamb was served with a spectacular mint diffraction, with a fantastic, wonderfully crusty Naan bread from the loam oven. My lamb was so delicate and juicy, handmade perfectly prepared, as well as extremely tasty, so I melted during consumption. My accompaniment chose “Tandoori Chili Chicken”. € 13,50 Also here was lt. Description of my accompaniment “the taste nerves on an adventure journey” sent! Both main dishes were delicious loose and wonderfully fragrant Basmati rice. The food was really rated very authentic and even the most common sheep available in Germany on request! During the evening, the very friendly attentive service received several feedback and asked if everything was okay. At no time, I had the feeling that it was only formal or polite. All in all, we were excellently supervised, made good recommendations, and satisfactory statements were made in demand. The toilets were very clean and well maintained. for me a very important detail! This provision is also for children. A winding table is provided between the ladies' toilet. By the way: By the way, you can park in the underground garage, in the nearby Hotel Barceló, for € 1.50 per hour. My conclusion: TOP recommendation for fans of Indian cuisine!!! Thank you. Ajay Gawdi for the friendly, informative talks and dear Ginti team, thanks for a very nice and unforgettable evening! Namaste – I beg you!
A cozy restaurant, very lovingly managed by the staff. Our waiter took care of us very well, the advice was really great. The dishes were very delicious and the portions were correspondingly large. An explanation for the good Indian cuisine. We will definitely visit this restaurant again.
Last weekend I was in Ginti for the second time. I decided to do it because I liked it very well. The ambience is beautiful and the staff is very friendly and welcoming. The menu offers a variety of dishes. Of course I mean the Indian cuisine, not curry sausage with pommes or carved Viennese style... Rather, I am talking about the sharpness of food and curry concentration. It is strongly recommended to book a table in advance as this restaurant is well visited. It always comes during the stay a waiter with camera and offers a photo to make. A nice idea. It saves you the annoying selfiemaking... A small minus would have stayed at the end, so I'm only 4 out of 5 stars. The volume... I felt pretty loud when I was there. It is recommended to drive by tram, as the parking situation is a bit difficult. Nevertheless, the Ginti is highly recommended!!
In a 5-day stay in Cologne and as a lover of Indian cuisine, we had planned the Ginti. The visit took place on Monday to the beginning of noon. The reception was very friendly and cordial by the Lord of the House. The decor in Ginti is very modern, stylish, but also somewhat sterile and only very discreet supplements with Indian accessories. Young guests will probably find favors in the style of the institution. The place was still empty and so there was a chance to get a brief conversation with the mistress of the house. She brought us the menus, and there were Papadam with three from a culinary point of view pretty boring finished dives. We chose both a mango sauce as a drink that was thin and most likely prepared on the basis of a mango powder. Disgusting! I ordered as main dish Malai Kofta, vegetable balls in a mild curry sauce with ginger, garlic, almonds and coconut. This is not only one of my favorite Indian dishes, but it is also a dish that places higher requirements on a kitchen and therefore cannot be found in any Indian restaurant on the menu. In addition, quality and freshness can be well valued with this bowl. I ordered this dish with a higher sharpness, but not through the sauce, but ultimately through the vegetable balls themselves. The latter were produced excellently and their loose inner composition had the freshness of the preparation felt. This was undoubtedly a 5-star court. My accompaniment had opted for Tandoori King Prawn Masala, marinated royal cloves from Tandoor in a sauce with tomatoes, cashew nuts and raisins. This dish was also very tasty, rather mild and very generous in the number of shrimps. The rice was served unfavorably on an open bowl and had to measure any fragrance and aroma that could originate from cardamom capsules or spice cloves. After the main dishes were convinced, we were curious about the Indian ice cream, Kulfi. This came visually well over a carrot cut into slices, but could not be along tasteful. It was crystallized, little creamy and the aromas of the aforementioned mango powder were reappeared. Conclusion: a highly recommended Indian restaurant due to the excellent main dishes, but not yet matured in its culinary periphery. Therefore, provisionally three stars with an inclination to four.
