Contribuiți la feedbackGreat place! Diverse Asian menu with large sushi selection. The Korean BBQ pots are excellent! Nice ambiance with friendly, knowledgeable servers and it's BYOB, which lets you try a few extra appetizers or another specialty roll!
There's so much that went wrong, this will be a long one. We had a reservation for my daughter's birthday, which happens to be Valentine's Day. The restaurant wasn't super busy several tables sat, but not packed by any means. We were seated right away, but not given menus. Huh, wondering if they're still using QR codes exclusively, which are still on the table. After about 10 minutes, I see another diner at the sushi bar with a menu, so my husband goes to the front to get a few for us. Finally we're checking out the menu, and wondering if anyone will ever approach our table. Servers are walking by us, so someone has to know we're there. We're considering leaving, but it being Valentine's Day there's no chance we'll get a table anywhere else. Finally about 25 minutes after being seated, my husband goes to the front and asks for a server. Young girl finally comes over (by the way 4 servers, 3 were girls who looked to about high school age, and one young man looked to be 20 something , very friendly and apologetic, and tells us she'll comp our soup/salad, but since what we ordered comes with soup or salad, she offers free beverages. Ok, fine. (Also, as a side note, I need to order gluten free their GF items are indicated on the menu, but always double check, because the California Roll I ordered isn't GF. The server had to check and it is made with listed on the menu as GF California Roll is made with imitation crab which usually has wheat. Takes another 15 minutes or so to finally get our drinks. And then at some point, sushi comes out, then entrees, which by the way all came out at different times. When my entree came out the server told me I couldn't have it as ordered (with beef because the beef wasn't gluten free. I'm sorry but she should have told me earlier so I might have had a chance to order something else. She brought a side of coated and fried tofu instead which I was hesitant to eat because I didn't know what the coating was. Where's the soup/salad? Oh well. I guess she forgot. All the while, another table that came in about 20 minutes after us has come and gone. Clearly they had a more attentive server. So, after we're pretty much done eating, the server comes back to check on us, I tell her we never got our soup/salad, so we ask for it to go. I guess what gets me is the manager never came to our table to offer an apology or an explanation of what happened. I would have expected her to at least check in with us to make sure everything was ok. As for the food, it was a mixed bag, some good, some bad. Due to the service and lack of clarity with their GF food, we won't be going back.
I'm really glad I came across this restaurant while waiting for my daughter's music lesson to end. Service was relatively quick and the food was great. I had the spicy ramen and was surprised at how good it was for a restaurant in the suburbs. Definitely will come back to try other dishes and get the ramen again!
I made a reservation for our Anniversary, but when we arrived, they had no record of it. It was comical, because they sort of scrambled to find where to seat us when the place was absolutely empty, less one party of 2. We were sat and had waters and glasses for our BYO within minutes. Our server was sweet and they brought over a complimentary tuna salad (2pcs) on small triangular crackers. They were a nice gesture, but nothing special. Not even sure the item is on the menu. We ordered up steamed Gyoza (pork) and a few specialty rolls. I sorta goofed and 2 of the rolls were topped with chili sauce and man, that was the hottest chili sauce I have ever experienced on sushi. I love spice and it by no way deterred me from enjoying, but that was some heat for a basic chili sauce. Wow! They didn't go as far as to tell us which rolls were which on the large plate as they dropped it off and walked away, and the two rolls looked very similar, so we just had to do some digging on our own to look up the contents again from the online menu to see which one we enjoyed the most. For my wife, it was the Incredible Roll (shrimp tempura, spicy tuna, cucumber, topped with seared tuna, white tuna, avocado, 2 special sauces, tobiko and scallion. For me, it was the Mudslide Roll (Tuna and avocado, topped with spicy miso, crunchy miso sauce, scallion and chili sauce). We also had the Michelle's Crunchy Shrimp Roll (steamed shrimp, cucumber, spicy crunch, white tuna, avocado and chili sauce). Not much crunch to be found, but fresh and textures worked well together. 3.5 for this particular experience. Maybe dial down the heat level on that chili sauce since it is on so many of the specialty rolls. Not sure what went on with our reservation, but I even received an email reminder, so maybe they just heard my name incorrectly. Glad to be back, but will try others in the surrounding area before returning.
For Valentine's Day, I wanted to celebrate by visiting a sushi restaurant. This was my first time there, but after hearing positive reviews from a few friends, I decided to give it a try. Upon arrival, I was warmly welcomed by a friendly young girl. Although it took some time to get seated, the staff were attentive and checked on me regularly. The food was just as impressive as the service! I highly recommend the stone pot bibimbap—it was absolutely delicious. Overall, I rated my experience a perfect 10/10!
