Albertville Tavern - Colfax

This was my first time visiting this restaurant and I decided to try their fish fry. I would suggest making a reservation in advance, as it is a small place and tends to get busy. The portion sizes were good and they offer three different options for the fish fry: 5 pieces for $14.95, 3 pieces with popcorn shrimp for $14.95, or "poor man's lobster" for $16.95. I wish they had smaller fish options available, but the addition of shrimp was a nice touch. The servers were friendly, but it did take them a bit of time to initially take our order.

The Friday fish fry was great, the service was great and everyone working there was super friendly! We didn't save room for a root beer float, so I guess we'll be heading back soon. Highly recommend!

This is a difficult review to write, because I don?t WANT you to go to Albertville Tavern. This place is amazing. The people are awesome, the food is excellent, and the drinks are alcoholic. I don?t need you coming along with your screamy kids, sweary family, and annoyingly too-loud laugh, and ruin it for me. However, my Therapist tells me I need to practice being a better human, so I?ll tell you about the Tavern if you promise NEVER to come here. First, the people are

We had a wonderful time at the restaurant! My husband thoroughly enjoyed the Thursday night special of pork steak and dumplings. I loved my burger as well. We look forward to visiting again on our next trip to Wisconsin!

I've had a lot of good prime rib and burgers in my day but this may have been the best. Great cocktails, amazing food, get out here if you get the chance. (Don't forget the lyonnaise potatoes!
