Restaurant very busy, but staff very helpful and efficient. We ordered Sunday lunch. The beef was almost inedible, as very rare and tough. The roast potatoes were barely roasted. The amount varied on our plates, from none to 3! However, the waitress was very quick to bring us some more potatoes. My friend and I found the cake a little dry too. Unfortunately, not a good meal, but lovely staff, and were coping well on which was a very busy Sunday.
Popped in here as diverted off A12 due to roadworks. Passed our way through truly rural farm fields and then saw this garden centre. As my wife and I were both starving we hoped for a restaurant, and we were not disappointed. Very busy restaurant. We ordered from the queue but after rushing to get a table number found menus on the table. Still the counter choices were enough. We opted for baked potatoes with cheese and beans. Also banana milkshakes. And as my wife knows my eyes were bigger than my stomach…I ordered a delicious slice of cake. All the food was excellent. The coleslaw that accompanied the spuds I could have had as a meal in itself. The milkshakes best we have had outside of Disney Florida yes they were good). And the cake…? Yes had to wrap it up and takeaway to eat later whilst wife moaned about me. So great food and service. The garden furniture and bbq selection very comprehensive. Thanks to A12 roadworks to finding the place. But for sure we will return. Noticed a small park area for the Grandchildren
Called in for breakfast on our way home this morning from an overnight stay in Clacton. Very convenient as en route and we've eaten here before. I see some people are complaining about the prices but I felt they were Ok for what we had coffees, breakfast sandwich and avocado with poached egg and beetroot in these inflationary times. Only slight disappointment was that I was expecting the tomato with the avocado to be fresh tomato (grilled, baked or fried) rather than the pieces of sundried tomato I got.
Fantastic experience with Poplar Nurseries! They flawlessly catered our event for 34 people, providing delicious and well-prepared food that offered incredible value for money. The entire process was highly efficient, and the presentation was superb. We're definitely ordering from them again!
