Probably the best fish and chip's that I've ever had. The chip's were the right side of crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle. I've visited twice in two weeks and it's now my favourite place to eat. I've had the rock eel which was boned and cooked to perfection and the second time we had the haddock and once again it was perfect. I'm also a tea drinker and must say for me the tea was really good, served in a pot and finished off the meal a treat. The staff are very friendly and the restaurant is very clean with a friendly atmosphere.

I always treat my mum to fish and chips from Johnnys every Friday. Always fresh, friendly service and the place is spotless. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options as well. Best fish and chips in town .

Visited Colchester at the weekend and wanted gluten free fish and chips. Came across Johnny Mac's and what a great find. Excellent fish and chips and will visit again. Also ordered a regular fish and chips which I am told was also very good.
