Mangia Wood Fired Pizza - Coeur d'Alene

Bomb pizza, fresh and delish. Love the vibrant toppings. First time here and I was very impressed. Support local biz!

We tried this for the first time and it could be better. I realize this business just opened therefore there is room for improvement. First off, employees need to wear hair nets and gloves. When preparing the food, the staff with long hair was hanging directly over the food being prepped. We ended up waiting for 30 minutes for two pizzas and there was only one other person there. They also did not have pizza boxes big enough so we ended up leaving with two pizzas in 4 small boxes. The pizza crust was so thin and soggy but there was barely any sauce either. The toppings placed on the pizza was not consistent throughout each piece. Two pizzas and $52 later, the overall experience was sub par. Given it's post Covid with no procedures in place for Covid operations is questionable. Once this business figures out it's operations, it may be worth returning. So I will give it another chance!

My wife and I were visiting from California to visit some family and we decided to try this place out based on a recommendation from some of our family's friends. We were blown away by the great taste and quality of this pizza. As a group, we tried multiple pizzas/apps: the Idaho, kalua pig, meat pie, cheese bread, kids cheese pizza, bbq chicken pizza, and the meat balls. The pizza: The pizza was exceptional. You could tell the ingredients and materials used to make it were high quality and the owners of this place take pride in putting together a diverse yet high end menu. The idaho pizza was probably the best pizza my wife and I have ever had. We loved the creamy garlic sauce they used to top it off. The crust had a nice crisp to it but still had a nice mouth feel. The pizza had a nice wood fired pizza taste you would except from a high end sit down restaurant that offers wood fired pizzas. These were perfect thin crust Neapolitan style pizzas. The pizza menu is diverse with options which reflect the local roots (Idaho Pizza), Classics (Meat pie, pepperoni, and margarita), and other global inspirations (Kalua Pig). Appetizers: The meat balls and the cheesy garlic bread were to die for. They were so good our group was fighting over the last piece. Again, they were fresh and hot and you could tell they take the quality of their product seriously. Drinks: A previous review mentioned the soda tasted gross. The soda tasted like soda, with a good amount of carbonation and was dispensed nice and cold. They also offered a nice selection of bottled beverages, including beers from local breweries. Staff: The staff was great. Very friendly without being overly invasive. They were there to answer any questions or concerns about their menu or services but were not constantly in your face trying to sell you something. I even had a short conversation with one of the employees. I was trying to get him to spill the beans of where they order their sauces from because they were delicious. I was then made aware all of their sauces, and even their pizza dough!! are made from scratch, in house. I was not surprised to learn this as their sauces were pretty bomb (especially their house ranch dressing). To point out, all the staff was wearing proper PPE, gloves, masks, etc (if that is something important to you). You can tell this business has learned from previous comments and strives to please their customer and provide the highest level of service. Anyways, I would absolutely recommend. This pizza place is amazing. My wife and I enjoyed it so much we went again by ourselves on our way out of town and it was just as good the second time. Their prices are spot on, or even under priced, for the quality of product you get. Do yourself a favor, try this place instead of other mediocre pizza places in town, you wont regret it.

I ordered two 10' pizzas and added prosciutto to the Blanco, a $1.50 extra... for next to nothing on my pizza. Crust is paper thin and is chewy after a couple mins of eating it. Prices are way too high for what you get. Won't be going back.
